The MINI Cooper is being recalled over fires
Following an investigation started in October, BMW in the US has issued a recall for 88,911 MINI Coopers built between 2007 and 2011. Back in October we reported that the MINI Cooper S was under investigation in the US after a spate of fires. ‘Spate’ may be a bit strong as, at that time, there had been a total of just 12 fires reported.
The 480hp Nissan Super Juke
Only last week we had news that the appealing Nissan Juke has had a few tweaks to make it more economical; more suited to its urban environment. But now comes new from the other end of the economy spectrum with a report that Nissan Europe is planning a monster ‘Super’ Juke complete with the turbo V6 from the Nissan GT-R. Students from the Car Design Masters course at Scuola Politecnica di Design Milan presented concepts for an Audi Avant for 2015 at the school's studios in late June. The presentation of the Audi-sponsored project was made to Walter de'Silva, Design Director Audi Brand Group, who was actively involved in the project along with Audi designers Gary Telaak for the exterior design and Ingo Von Bargen for the interior. In October the students were assigned the task by Walter de'Silva of giving shape to the evolution of the Audi Avant concept.
